A classic cross between the considerably darker, burgundy variety with the dark burgundy-purple floral bract and the brighter, red variety with the red branching bract that could give either colour, or in some cases, a mix of colours. A beautiful specimen, either ways.

This is another beautiful giant alcantarea which can span over 1.0 meters when fully mature. When it matures the leaves gets covered with a silvery white powder which makes this beauty stands out in the landscaping. The inflorescence is tall and branched and has fragrant flowers that attracts bees, butterflies and/or birds. It can be grown outside in tropical areas. It will take many light conditions.
Highly versatile and low maintenance, this medium sized brom can grow on a variety of surfaces and has a high tolerance to heat and humidity. The coarse leaves have burgundy-purple crossbands and thick green spines along the edges, and grow erect to form a tubular rosette about 60cm tall. The short, showy inflorescence is fairly long lasting and comprises of dark red bracts and yellow flowers.
Best known for its ‘Sapphire Tower’, the 1.5m tall, prolific flower stalk bearing spectacular, metallic teal-blue flowers with bright yellow anthers. The leaves are prickly and grass-like, and form large, clump-like rosettes. Extremely drought tolerant, it prefers full sun and once established, does not require extra watering.
This is another much sought after, rare, large Brazilian native. The leaves can grow to 1.5m long when mature, with the lower leaves drooping over and creating an unusual landscaping feature. The thick flower stalk can grow to 1.5 meters tall, branching out into dozens of flower stalks bearing numerous blossoms, and can last several months.
