Shipping charges explained –

Shipping charges consist of:

1.      Handling

2.      packaging

3.      freight

Please read below if you want to understand how our shipping works.  If you are too busy, or can't be bothered, just stick something in your shopping cart and then click on "Estimate Shipping" at the bottom left hand side of the screen.  It doesn't get much more simple than that!! (We hate websites that don't tell you what the shipping is until the final stage, so we have tried to be as up front as possible.  No surprises with freight, just great plants at great prices!  And of course matched by our great service!!)

1. Handling:

tc plants are sent out to you in a container (see picture). Each container is labelled with a variety’s botanical name and its code.  Each container has approx. 35 plants (but only charged for 33 plants).

All plants are taken out of seedling trays/ pots. We take off all the potting mix around its root zone. We then dip the entire plant in dilute seaweed solution and then spray with our special solution which traps the moisture until it reaches you. All the varieties are duly labelled and care is taken so that these labels don’t get wet in transit.
 

2. Packaging:

The plants are then packed in special ventilated boxes. Wherever required we pack organic packing material around plants. The boxes are neatly labelled and marked to ensure safe delivery to their new home.

3. Freight:

We use Australia Post (regular parcel) service to send the plants. You can request us for registered pacel or express post and /or insurance for your peace of mind. If you wish to opt for any of these options (attract extra cost), you should email us before we ship your parcel. In some cases we use Fastway couriers. The freight remains unchanged even if we use a courier.

Shipping charges:

The following charges apply anywhere in Australia

Please note that these charges include freight, handling costs, packaging costs and GST.

Order value up to $199 - flat rate $20

Order value $200 and above - 12% of the total order value

Order value $1000 and above - 10% of the total order value

Order value $2000 and above – FREE (can't beat that!)

We used to send pot plants by truck but the transport business that we used is shut down and other similar transport options are proving to be too expensive for small orders. So we ship them bare rooted. If the order quantity is min 1000 pot plants then its viable to ship by truck as potted plants, otherwise the best bet is to ship them bare rooted.

This system works out for many landscapers/retailers/growers to whom we ship our plants.
